    The massed start. Divo's Talbot and Campbell's Bugatti have out-accelerated everyone else and are already out of the picture. Segrave's Talbot is out of sight on the left. Harvey's FWD Alvis (No 2) leads this group, with the Earl of Cottenham's similar car (No 3) immediately behind him. To the right is Vernon Balls' Amilcar, and no 8 to the left is D M K Marendaz (Marendaz). Parry Thomas' low-slung Thomas Special can be seen behind Cottenham, and Turner's Gwynne is in the group behind, with R M V Sutton's 12-50 Alvis behind him.
