This photo shows an 8 cylinder Amilcar and was used to illustrate a road test of the model by Autocar. The report was published in Autocar on 11th July 1930 edition pages 85/86. Ultimately the model was not successful. Vernon Balls is said to have imported 11 examples and even tried supercharging one to improve its performance. The photo is almost certainly taken near Balls' High Holborn showrooms.
