25 is the Bugatti of Earl Howe (driving here) and Malcolm Campbell. This excursion into the sandbank, necessitated a stop at the pits to change a buckled wheel. Despite further delays, which caused Howe and his mechanic to walk back and forth to the pits from out on the circuit on a number of occasions to collect tools, the Bugatti finished in 22nd place overall. No 33 (in front of the Bugatti) is the Alvis Silver Eagle team car driven by Cyril Paul and Harold Purdy, which finished in fifteenth place.
