Written on the back, (you can just about see it above);
"Taylor A V Record".
It is an A.V. Monocar - produced originally by Ward & Avey Ltd at Teddington till 1923 then renamed to AV Motors Ltd
I am researching AV/Ward & Avey. Do you have any other information or photos?
I actually live about 5 minutes from Somerset Road.
Did you know "Ward" was George Leopold Holzapfel and "Avey" was Frederick Maxey Holzapfel?
Fred died in 30 January 1934, but George Leopold went to the States, had a successful career in oil and died in CALIFORNIA in December of 1978.

JWd is right tho I think it may be 1921.
Major RC Empson was an enthusiastic and succesful racer of AV Monocars in this period. He raced one called "Whizzbang".
Does anyone know more about the gallant Major?
